To foster connections between raptors, wildlife, and people in order to better protect the environment and the creatures that reside within it.
Great Lakes Raptor Center’s vision is to reignite our passion and connection with raptors and wildlife through various educational programs that highlight our ambassadors' natural behaviors, expanding our horizons to care for all wildlife and inspiring us to protect it.

Wildlife and Educational facility development
In this phase, we plan to build state of the art mews and aviaries in order to maximize welfare in educational ambassadors, including indoor aviaries for colder months of the year. We also plan to build educational buildings for audiences to engage, learn, and experience educational programming in. Including interactive displays, state of the art classrooms, and a flight hall. In addition, we will have an amphitheater outside, allowing our ambassadors to spread their wings and adequately demonstrate the natural behaviors they were born to do.

Program development and ambassador training
Developing programs to foster connections between people and wildlife that meets facilities and ambassadors needs. We intend to implement programs such as our natural free flight show, offsite educational programs with our non-releasable ambassadors, and more. Our ambassadors welfare comes beyond all else, and we plan to put lots time and training to ensure the safety and comfort of our animals.
